All material must be original, produced by the candidate(s), with the exception of music or audio effects.

VIDEO

5. A music promo video, with a storyboard. The length of the promo will reflect the length of the music track, but it is expected to be no longer than three minutes.

All material must be original, produced by the candidate(s), with the exception of the music or audio effects.

If candidates are working as a group, each group member is expected to take on a specific role such as director, camera operator or editor.

PRINT

3. A print-based advertising campaign for a new product, such as a new clothing range, to include

a brand name design, two full-page magazine advertisements and a billboard poster, using original photography.

If candidates are working in a group, each group member must produce at least one advertisement.

.we chose brief 3 because we initially were not interested in the radio option. we then took a look at the website option and considered doing that option but then realised that we did not have the right equipment and skills to do that. we then look at our final options which were cross media and print and look more deeply into each one and considered which we would be able to cary out. we had some difficulties in trying to come up with ideas for cross media and the difficulty of the many things that it consists of and so we decided finally on the print option. we chose this because we have the skills that are required for this particular brief. our group consists of bronte foster monk and chaia crompton schrieber.

.our selected brief will involve three separate pieces of work. the first is our brand name and design. it has to be original and relevant to our product and the audience we wish to advertise to. the second is a two page magazine advertisement. this will include our own original photography, a design, the product we our advertising (the shoes) and the models/setting for the shoot. we also need to include a brief article or slogan to include in the double page spread. the final piece is a billboard advertisement which will also include our own photography and needs to be striking and eye catching to catch the audience we are advertising to.

. our plan is to create an advertising campaign that introduces a new range of shoes that is current, fashionable and appealing to our chosen age range. our plan is to look at other adverts similar to our idea and create a similar and modern advert that fits in with our product type, style and genre.

Initial Proposal

Purpose: to decide upon the Brief you wish to complete and plan the next stage of research

After having considered ALL the Briefs thoughtfully you will have:
• formulated a shortlist of options
• undertaken some basic research into the viability of the Brief
• undertaken some basic research (form, content, style) into the nature of each of the elements of production

The next stage is to plan the work you will need to do in advance of the production stage:
• Select a range (minm. 3) of real texts to deconstruct for each of the production elements
• Identify any technical elements that need to be researched/experimented with

In this initial proposal you must:
• State clearly the brief you wish to complete and who is in the group
• Explain why you have selected this brief
• Explain what each of the elements of your selected brief will involve
• Discuss your initial thoughts about the genre/content/style – what you plan to make?
• Identify (name) your key texts (minm. 3) to be studied for research analysis
• Identify any areas for technical research/experimentation
• Create a timetable (tasks & completion dates) for your research and experimentation

THIS DOCUMENT WILL FORM PART OF YOUR FINAL ASSESSMENT!
